Branson is greatly known for two things, their southern hospitality, and fantastic music shows. Clay Cooper’s Country Express checks off both of those boxes.
What is the Clay Cooper’s Country Express?
Clay Cooper’s Country Express at the Clay Cooper Theater has become one of the most popular live music shows in Branson.
Performing with his wife of 20 years and two sons, the Clay Cooper Country Express show is truly a family experience. You will see his sons belting out songs on stage then serving popcorn during intermission.

Two things that Clay Cooper has going for him is his incredible singing talents and charismatic charm. Some would even call it good ole Texas charm. When Clay’s not entertaining the audience with lively songs he’s actively engaging with the crowd. Doing things such as learning people’s names and establishing that one on one connection that you hardly ever get at live shows.

The first half of the show is mainly country hits. In true Clay Cooper style, it is a lively and spectacular show that you have to see to believe.
The second half of the show is a mash-up of hits from every year. The songs range from The Bee Gees to Bruno Mars. Coopers youngest son Caden is featured as Bruno and he’s a talented young singer. My personal favorite cover was the *NSYNC performance.
What makes shows in Branson Special
Another thing that stood out to me about Clay Cooper is after every show he hangs out and meets fans.
After the show we had a chance to sit and talk with Clay, his wife Tina, their older son Colton and members of the cast. I have to say talking with them you really get a sense of how down to earth and genuine they are. They truly love entertaining and the fellow members of the show are their family.
Final Thoughts
Overall I was really surprised how much I enjoyed the show. I am not the biggest country fan but the Clay Cooper’s Country Express show has a great mix of all types of music plus comedy and I really enjoyed it.
