As bloggers, we are all trying to figure out how to generate traffic to our blogs quickly. The following tips are all methods I have used that have significantly increased my page views.
Facebook is an excellent tool for bloggers! I’ve personally seen significant increases in my traffic from utilizing the following tips.
Facebook Groups
I have preached before on how helpful Facebook groups can be to generate traffic. I’ve made so many great connections in them.
Engagement Threads
Certain Facebook groups will have daily threads where you can share your posts. Facebook groups are another way to grow traffic from Facebook and increase your engagement.
Personal Facebook Profile
I plan on making a whole post on this, but utilizing your personal Facebook can generate traffic to your blog and social channels. When you post in Facebook groups, people will click on your profile from time to time. On my Facebook profile, I have links to my blog, Instagram, and it lists that I run the CollegeWanderlust Facebook page. I also share blog posts from time to time.
Twitter is one of my favorite social media platforms. I’ve made lots of great connections with other bloggers and my followers by engaging on Twitter.
Twitter Chats
Utilizing Twitter chats within your niche can be a great way to gain followers within your niche. If you are not familiar with Twitter chats, they are typically hosted at the same time every week on Twitter. The host will ask questions or give prompts for Twitter users to engage and have a conversation. Twitter chats can be an excellent opportunity to engage with other users and make connections.
Use Hashtags
Take the time to keyword and hashtag research for your niche on Twitter. Think about what hashtags your audience is engaging with and actively using.
Regularly post your content
Set some time aside every week to set up tweets to post automatically. I use the free Hootsuite plan for this, and it saves me SO much time.
Pinterest is a GREAT way to drive traffic to your blog. If you follow my couple of tips, you will see your traffic views skyrocket!
Utilize Tailwind
I could go in-depth with his, but Tailwind is a fantastic tool for bloggers. It’s basically like having a personal assistant that specializes in Pinterest and can help you boost your pageviews from Pinterest.
Join Pinterest group boards
I found all the Pinterest group boards I’m in from various Pinterest related Facebook groups. Pinterest group boards are a great way to share your content with members of your niche and drive traffic to your blog.
Make beautiful Pinterest worthy images
The 2:3 picture ratio is what most bloggers use. I use Canva to help me make my Pinterest photos. I usually make a few different images for Pinterest for every blog post.
Instagram is usually the platform I spend the least amount of time on compared to my other socials. I do use the following tips, and I’ve seen my engagement stay high in the past few years.
Regularly Post
Be sure to post related images of your new blog post. Once a new blog post is up, I’ll post a new photo on Instagram. This is essential to just remind or let my readers know that a new blog post is up.
Swipe up stories
If you have the swipe up option available, be sure to utilize it. The swipe up option on Instagram has been a significant factor in helping me generate traffic to my blog. I usually use the Pinterest image that I’ve already created and put in on my story. Utilizing pre-made content is always a plus!
Engage with your audience and niche
I know this one might be a “duh,” but I see so many people not doing it. Connecting with your audience is so essential and a sure way to grow your traffic.
