I was so excited to be invited to the event! It was my first time trying Salata and it will definitely not be my last.
The nice thing about eating at Salata is your meal is completely customizable.
First, we began by choosing if we wanted a salad or a wrap. Next, we choose from various types of lettuces, then choose from a choice of – no kidding- more than 50 different toppings.
The topping includes various types of veggies, fruits, cheese, nuts and other items such as pasta, egg, and croutons.
The last addition to your salad or wrap is a protein. With more than 10 different options it is easy to find one that you will taste delicious in your meal.
Finally, we picked from one of the 10 house-made dressings and they assembled our meals. I also ordered a tomato basil soup which is probably one of my favorite soups I have ever tried.
What did we order?
I had a salad with romaine and spinach mix, tomato, mixed cheese, croutons, honey mustard and seafood mix. A bit of an odd combination but it was delicious! Also a cup of the tomato basil soup.
Hally had the wrap filled with Salata lettuce mix, spinach, cucumber, tomato, jalapenos, olives, feta cheese, ranch dressing and grilled chicken. The wrap was also served with baked pita strips.
Everything was tasty, filling and healthy! A perfect meal to keep the “eating healthy” 2018 goals.
The event had a lovely bartender that served us cocktails during the meal. A Salata inspired Venetian cup which included vodka. plum + cinnamon tea, Aperol, and hazelnut. This combination made for a delightful cocktail.
Painting with a Twist
I had always wanted to try PWAT so I was super pumped to try this!
The instructors gave us easy to follow directions. Something I liked about PWAT is that while you are following a painting, everyone added little details that made each painting show their personal style.
One instructor lead the group from the front while another walked around and gave feedback and answered any questions. The instructors had such enthusiastic and supportive attitudes which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
At the end, we took some group photos and you can see everyone’s lovely creations below!
Altogether I had so much fun and can’t wait to enjoy some Salata and attend another PWAT party again.
I will close with two questions because I adore feedback from my marvelous readers:
What is your go-to order from Salata? Have you ever attended a PWAT party?
