The Play That Goes Wrong (Review)
Attending the opening night of a Broadway play at the Hobby Center is always a delight. The Play that Goes Wrong– which opened in Houston on March 26– was no different.
Whatever you think will happen in this play, think again! The plot is slapstick inspired with only the purpose of making you laugh.
I thought that the show reminded me of a combination of “Wipeout” and “Clue”. My sister (who accompanied me to the play) said that it reminded her of an “SNL” skit.
This is the kind of play to see after two good drinks and in the mood to continuously laugh.
I try to pride myself on including no spoilers in my Houston Broadway reviews. I DO have to say that stage manager Annie Twilloil and Lighting and Sound Operator Trevor Watson absolutely stole the show. Every time they were on the stage, the laugher upped in a way I previously didn’t think was possible as everyone in the crowd was already in an uproar. Their performances just had that extra “something” that I loved.

It’s always a treat to see live theater! I’ve not hear of this production, but I’ll have to keep an eye out if it ever makes it to my state!
