When I saw my job was holding a “mocktail” competition I was so excited to enter. It gave me a chance to step outside of my comfort zone and make a video doing something fun. I created my mocktail recipe that is perfect for the hot summer time in Houston. You can check out the recipe here. As one of the three winners of the competition, I was flown out for a trip to Chicago.

Day 1 of the Chicago Trip
The day started with a flight from Houston to Chicago. I arrived at the ACME Hotel in Chicago which is a super cute boutique hotel. One thing I loved about this hotel was that they deliver fresh coffee to your door every morning. I spent the night relaxing and catching up on blog work.
Day 2
Mixology training day! We had a full training course that was taught by the Cocktail Artist Mixologists. During the training, we learned everything from how to use all the tools, how to garnish a drink, and much more. It was an amazing experience to get to learn from the talented mixologists. At the end of the training, we were given these awesome trophies for winning the contest.
We had dinner with the whole group at Celeste in Chicago that night. The food was delicious and they even served my mocktail, the Southern Mint Sip, at the restaurant! It was such an amazing evening and the perfect ending to the second day of our Chicago trip.
Day 3
Filming day! As a winner of this contest, I got to film several recipe videos! All of the recipes are amazing and perfect for summer! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to share them all with you! I’ll be sure to add the recipes here as they release over the summer.
