Visiting the Raleigh Flea Market in NC

April 3, 2019 Blog, Food, wanderlust

If you are looking for something for free do in Raleigh, then add the Raleigh Flea Market in NC to your list.

This flea market is located at the Raleigh State Fairgrounds and is a favorite among local treasure seekers. Maybe I’m being a little dramitic but I just really love flea markets. You never know what you will find. This is also a great place for people who love a good bargain. You can find about anything here including jewelry, furniture, art, clothes and even food!

This was my first time ever visiting North Carolina. We came to spend time with my boyfriend’s family. When looking up things to do in Raleigh, the flea market was highly suggested by locals.

Luckily there is no charge for parking or admission to the NC market which is very nice. There is literally something there for everyone here (yes this is my faaaave cliché line lol), but really there were so many different types of booths there. Everything from antiques, homemade food, and clothes.

I collect vintage cameras so I was on the hunt for a new one to add to my collection. After visiting a few different booths this was my favorite camera that I found.

We grabbed lunch at one of the booths that had an inside eating area. It was warm inside which gave us a little break from the cold North Carolina weather.

Kyle got a steak and cheese sandwich and I got the chicken tender comb. The restaurant also served a variety of fried desserts. The kind of deep-fried desserts that are usually served at state fairs. We split a fried Oreo and it was AMAZING.
