How to spend an evening in Houston

April 14, 2018 Blog, Food

Thank you Toyota for helping me have an amazing evening in Houston!

There is no better way to spend an evening in Houston than by cheering on the home team! I’ve been a longtime Rockets fan but it had been a few years since I had been to a game.

First of all, most food and drink at the stadiums are overpriced. I spent $25 for a double once at a concert at the Toyota Center. Part of having an amazing evening in Houston is to try some local cuisine. Save your money and grab food and drink at a local restaurant.

Here are some restaurants to grab a bite to eat before the game:

Hearsay on the Green – 1515 Dallas St, Houston, TX 77010-7137
1600 Bar + Grille – 1600 Lamar St, Hilton Americas, Houston, TX 77010-5012
Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar – 1204 Caroline St, Suite 161, Houston, TX 77002-6931

Parking:

Bring cash!!! Most of the parking lots are cash lots with a few of them having card payment options. Bring cash to be safe.

Now I should mention the gorgeous ride that my family and I cruised around Houston in. The 2018 Toyota Highlander is a spacious vehicle with room for the whole family.

Here are some of my favorite features:

Adaptive Cruise Control
Back-Up Camera
Steering Wheel Controls

This vehicle also had a load of amazing safety features, including Lane Departure Warning, Cross-Traffic Alert, and Blind Spot Monitor. All three of these features helped the traffic filled drive into Houston much safer and gave me and my family peace of mind.

Also be sure to check me out on Instagram! I did a tour of some of my favorite features on my Instagram stories.

I’d have to say one of the features that my family enjoyed the most was the Blu-ray player that kept everyone entertained and the layout of the seats in the vehicle which kept everyone comfortable.

This was a really neat Rockets game to attend because, well, first off they won 114 to 91 against the New Orleans Pelicans. With this win, the Rockets broke the franchise record for most wins in a season. The energy in the stadium was crazy fun and it was an amazing game to watch live.

Overall I had an amazing evening in Houston and can’t wait to come back in a few weeks.
