With the new year, comes new goals and resolutions. To me, a good new years resolution is something that will improve your overall well being in some way. According to Forbes, only 8% of people actually achieve their goals. I made a list of goals and REALISTIC ways to achieve them.
1. Get healthy
Make a realistic health goal for 2019. Health-related goals are typically the most popular goals for the new year.
Whether you want to:
- Loose weight
- Gain weight
- Start Working out
- ETC
Make sure your 2018 goals are done in a way that you can keep up with. Start slow and don’t overthink it.

2. Be more Glamorous this year.
Whether you are wanting to improve your makeup skills, dress more fashionably, or learn to style your hair like a pro, YOU CAN DO IT. A fabulous 2019 resolution and goal is to improve yourself in any way possible.
There are so many great tutorials, bloggers, YouTubers, etc who have great tips and tricks so that you can achieve your 2019 goals.
This is one for sure that I want to achieve this year.
Tips for achieving this:
- Watch Beauty Gurus on YouTube
- Research tips and tricks on Pinterest
- Practice, practice, practice
A great tip is to find someone who resembles you. What I mean by that is find people that have your similar hair type, skin type, or skin color for makeup. For example, my skin tends to be very oily. I love reading about bloggers who suggest makeup that pairs well with oily skin.

3. Travel more
Another popular New Years resolution. This year I am planning a few weekend trips, and two out of state trips (Colorado and NYC). With school and work, it has been hard to plan trips this last year. A grand 2019 goal I have is finding the time and money to go on these trips.
Tips for achieving this:
- Rediscover the city you live in
- Be on the look out for flights on sale
- Plan more weekend trips/day trips

4. Save Money
This is how I am planning to finance my trips this year. The last year I have been not been spending my money wisely or saving hardly any money.
Some things I plan on implementing this year to save money:
- Quit eating fast food
- Make a grocery list before going shopping
- Only buy clothes I plan on wearing often
Something to keep in mind is that everyone handles their finances differently. I do enjoy reading tips from bloggers and their suggestions for dealing with money, saving money etc.

5. Get Organized.
I am a messy person. I can openly admit that. BUT, that’s something I really want to change. Being an organized person just seems like an easier way to live. More than wanting to be organized, I’m wanting to learn how to STAY organized.
A great tip for this is to start a declutter challenge. This a great way to start your 2019 in an organized way.
Here is a 30 day plan that should get you on the path to being completely organized.
Other tips to get organized:
- Clean out your closet
- Take one room at a time
- Get rid of things you don’t use/need
I would love to hear about your 2019 goals and how you plan on achieving them.
